Karol Pomykała
artist, engraver, graphic and art director.
My name is Karol Pomykała. I am an artist and have been involved in the linocut for more than 10 years. I am mainly creating linocuts and graphic installations consisting of combining artistic graphics with VR. My work can be found at international exhibitions and graphic art competitions, where I have often won major prizes.
I do not focus on my own art every day. I am leading classes and workshops at an art college from design and artistic graphics, where I can share my knowledge with others. In addition, in the last 10 years, I have been an art Director in the advertising agency, creating marketing communications for global brands. These experiences have undoubtedly influenced my perception of reality and the direction of my current artistic activity.
MY EXPERIENCE
I took part in many national and international exhibitions, and my linocuts received dozens of prestigious awards and awards. My greatest recognition was the award of the Grand Prix of the International Graphic Arts Triennial in Krakow in 2018. My works can be admired in museums and private collections in Poland and abroad.
MY (NOT SO) SMALL MISSION
I am in love with the linocut and I want to inspire others with this love. I also see an increasing interest in graphic arts, so I decided to set up my virtual studio, where I am pleased to welcome you. I want this platform to bring together artists, graphic artists, beginners, and professionals who want to expand and share their graphic arts knowledge. In addition, my aim is also to guide the artists through the entire linocut process. This idea gave rise to a content project in the form of original e-books, films, and articles on linocut technique, available in subsequent tabs on the studio’s page.
So, I invite you to my linocut world!
